(WFLA) — The owner of Critterville, an animal shelter in Citrus County, has been charged with 39 counts of animal cruelty, the sheriff’s office said.Earlier this month, Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Animal Control Officers (ACO) responded to a residence on East Watson Street in Inverness in reference to an animal cruelty investigation that resulted in the arrest of three residents.The nonprofit organization is the only animal shelter serving Citrus County.
